How to Screen cast on Android – Step by Step

How to Screen cast on Android – Step by Step
If you would like to record screencast videos of your own Android phone, the good news is that you don’t need to install any app nor do you have to root your device. The not-so-good news is that you can only capture screencasts on phones (or tablets) that are running Android 4.4 or later. Also, screencasts will not have any audio.
How-to-Screen

Step 1: Prepare your Android Device for Screencasting

Open your Android phone settings and go to About Phone, the last option in the list. Next tap Build Number seven times in quick succession and you’ll see a message saying that Developer Options have been enabled in your device.

Step 2: Prepare your computer (Windows or Mac)

We need to install the Android SDK on our desktop. This is simple. All you have to do is download the SDK in a zip file from the android.com website and unzip the file anywhere on your computer.

The Android SDK is available for both Mac and Windows.

Step 3: Connect your Android phone to the desktop

First connect your Android phone to your computer though the regular micro USB cable. The phone will display a prompt asking you to “Allow USB debugging.” Tap OK to continue.

Step 4: Record the Screencast Video

Run the follow command to enter recording mode. Advanced users may refer to the help manual to learn about the various options supported by screenrecord.

adb shell screenrecord --verbose ./sdcard/screencast-video.mp4

If you are using a Mac, you the command line code should be written as:

./adb shell screenrecord --verbose ./sdcard/screencast-recording.mp4

Now switch to your phone and whatever you do here will get recorded in the video. When you are done, go to command window and press Ctrl + C to stop the video recording. The screencast is now saved in your Android phone.

You can use a File manager app, I prefer File Wrangler, to search for the screencast-video.mp4 file on the phone and transfer it to your desktop for editing.

How To Make G00gle Assistant Work On Any Android Devices

How To Make G00gle Assistant Work On Any Android Devices
This brief tutorial will school you on how to make G00gle Assistant work on your Android device, no matter the OS you are running. Stay back and read carefully.

How-To-Make-G00gle-Assistant-Work-On-Any-Android-Devices

After doing away with it's popular Nexus line-up, yours truly G00gle, has finally become a mainstream Android manufacturer with Pixel. One of the most stunning features of g00gle Pixel is the new AI assistant which seems like a nice alternative to Siri, and you’ll be very glad to know that there is a way to enable G00gle Assistant on any Android device, meaning that you don't necessarily need to buy a pixel phone.

While there are a lot of reasons you would want to get one, I don't think most Android users won’t be jumping the ship right away.

However, to get the best of AI and personal assistance, you will need the following things to get started.

1. An Android device running Android 7.0 Nougat or higher.
Android 7.0, I  know most OEMs haven't upgraded their devices to 7.0 yet but if you're lucky to have Upgraded to Nougat , you can continue with this.

2. Root access.

3.The latest version of G00gle app (version 6.5.35.21 or newer) installed on the device.

How to enable G00gle Assistant on any Android Nougat device

To begin using the G00gle Assistant service, you need to add or replace a line to your device’s root files. In order to access the root directory, you will need a file explorer with root access, so go ahead download any free app like  ES File Explorer from the g00gle Play Store.

Please read the following Instruction carefully in other not to damage your device

Once downloaded, grant the app Superuser access and head over to the root partition of your device, which is the highest folder in the folder tree. From the root directory, access the “System” folder and make sure that the directory is mounted as read/write (Mount R/W). Scroll down to the bottom of the folder to find a file named “build.prop ” and long-press it. On the “Options” menu that appears, press “Open with” and then select “Text Editor” from the pop-up window.

Once you have the “build.prop ” file open in the text editor, scroll down to the bottom of the list and enter these lines:

ro.product.model=Pixel XL
ro.opa.eligible_device=true

Once you have entered the code line mentioned above, press the menu button and save the changes you have made. To make sure that g000gle Assistant works without any issues, wipe the cache and the data of the G00gle app.

Restart your Android device once you have saved the file and exited the file manager app.

You are done!!

How To Flash Android 7.0 Nougat on Nexus Devices

12:17 pm 0
How To Flash Android 7.0 Nougat on Nexus Devices
With Android 7.0 Nougat, Google seems to be getting even faster at offering OTAs, with half our team already having the OTA downloaded and installed. Still, not everyone will probably get it that fast, and sometimes you don’t want to wait. Or perhaps there’s a reason you want a clean install (too much old bloat on your device, etc). In those situations, starting from scratch is certainly worth considering. If you’ve never done it before, there are a few hoops to go through, but nothing too difficult.
Nougat is here, though getting it to all devices is a whole other story.

For those that are familiar with flashing, there’s really nothing new about this process with Android 7.0. That said, if you’ve never unlocked the bootloader in your Nexus 6P or 5X, it is worth noting that you absolutely need the latest version of the Android SDK (which you should install anyhow) — as these devices only recognize the new command for unlocking the bootloader – fastboot flashing unlock.

For those that have never flashed an update at all, this guide will take you through everything you need to know about the process.

What will you need before you get started?
  •  A Nexus device along with a USB cable to connect it to your computer.
  • The Android SDK installed on your machine with ADB and Fastboot command successfully working.
  • You’ll also need the appropriate factory image for your Nexus device. It’s worth it to spend a moment to make sure you have the right one rather than have to deal with the issues of downloading the wrong one.
  • You’ll also need 7zip or a similar program that can handle .tgz and .tar files.
  •  You will also need to unlock your Nexus bootloader. Beware, this will erase your data. It’s also worth noting that flashing a factory image will also erase your data. Make sure to back it up!

Unlocking your bootloader

Before you get started, if your phone’s bootloader has never been unlocked, you’ll need to do a few extra steps before manually installing Android Nougat. Remember, opening the bootloader will reset your phone, losing all personal data.

How-To-Flash-Android-7.0-Nougat-on-Nexus-Devices

With that out of the way:

    1) Turn off your Nexus.
    2) Hold down power and volume down buttons.
    3) On your Nexus type ./fastboot flashing unlock
    4) Press volume up and power button to confirm bootloader unlock.
    5) Type ./fastboot reboot — that’s it. You’re now unlocked and ready!

How to manually install Android Nougat on a Nexus device

Keep in mind that this process is pretty straightforward, but things can and do go wrong if you don’t carefully follow instructions. In other words, proceed at your own risk. With that out of the way, here’s what you need to do:

   1)  Boot your Nexus device into fastboot mode. You do this by turning it off and holding down the volume up + volume down keys and then pressing power. That should work for all modern Nexus devices but if not, you may need to Google Search how to do it on yours.
  2)  On your computer, use 7zip to extract the .tgz file you downloaded from the Android Developer website. Use 7zip a second time to extract the .tar file you extracted from the .tgz. When you’re done, you should have a folder with several files in it.
   3) Copy all of these files and paste them in the platform-tools folder in the Android SDK on your computer. If you followed the above tutorial, this should be under the C drive, then under Program Files (x86) on Windows. Linux users, you know where you put it.

  4)  If you have not already done so, connect your Nexus device to your computer. ADB and Fastboot commands should already work at this point if you’ve been following along.
  5)  There are two flash-all files. If you’re in Windows, you’ll want to double click the one that has the gear logo and says “Windows Batch File” on the right. If you’re on Linux, you’ll want to double click the flash-all.sh.
  6)  At this point a box should pop up and you should see the installation taking place. While this is going on, do not unplug your device for any reason. Let it do its thing.
  7)  Once the installation process as finished, your device will automatically reboot and you should see the official Android 7.0 Nougat boot animation start up. You can now safely disconnect your device from your computer. Congrats, you now have Nougat!

If you have any issues, check out the Android Authority Forums and ask there. You can also post a comment below, and we’ll do our best to help you out, and invite other readers to pitch in as well. Good luck, have fun, and we hope you enjoy Android Nougat!

How To Use Blackberry IMEI Generator For Use on Android Devices
How-to-Use-Blackberry-IMEI-Generator-For-Use-on-Android-Devices

It took me by surprised to notice that most of you that want to change your android IMEI to that of blackberry are still going from one dust bin to the other searching for condemned blackberry to extract its IMEI. This tutorial will brief you on how to use Blackberry IMEI generator for use on Android.

If you are wondering why people will want to change their android IMEI to that of blackberry then you are still missing in action, but never too worry, I will tell why.

You all know that BIS data is very cheap now on all the major networks available in the country, and that N1k will give you a whooping 3GB worth of BIS data for the month.

For long now a lot people have been grooving this cheap BIS data on their android devices with GLO lines as result of being able to change their Android IMEI to that of a Blackberry.

And the good thing is that up till this very moment, it is still blazing like wild fire on android and on PC via android tethering.

IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. It is mostly a unique 15 digits number often assigned to certain devices like your smartphones, modems etc. and in most cases the IMEI number of your devices often starts with 35.

Since the IMEI number of your device is unique, and then no two devices is allowed to have the same IMEI number. When a phone is stolen or misplaced, you can render the phone useless only if you know the 15 digits IMEI number.

Please note that in some countries, it is illegal to change the IMEI of your devices and anytime you end up changing the IMEI of your device, you have void any warranty that might come with the device.

Now coming down to the main topic of the day, truly if I had known that you are still suffering searching for condemned blackberry IMEI to use for your android, I would have put up this post since so you will just easily download software that generates unique blackberry IMEI together with the blackberry PIN.

Without wasting any time, you can easily download Gipps here and use it to generate blackberry IMEI for your intended purpose. It is a zip file, so you have to unzip it and run the executable file in there to open the software.

When you have succeeded in getting the software open, you can then start generating blackberry IMEI by clicking at the Generate IMEI > continue and your blackberry IMEI will be generated instantly. You can even generate for yourself and also generate for your friends.

But if you feel that you cannot generate blackberry IMEI for yourself for whatever reason, I can easily generate one for you for free and forward it to your mail box. So all you need do is to indicate interest by dropping your email at the comment section of this page and I will assist you generate and forward one unique blackberry IMEI number.

Then also coming down to the process involved in changing your android IMEI to that of blackberry, I didn’t put it up anywhere here because I felt you already know how to go about it, but if you still insist I should do that, pending on the number of requests, I might consider and still put it up for you.

How To Install Custom ROM On Infinix X551
This tutorial you are about to derive will guide and teach and possibly lecture you how to Install Custom ROM on Infinix X551 (Hot Note Pro). Nevertheless, this tutorial also works for Hot Note (1GB) phones as well but I haven’t tested so you are at your own for the older edition.

Installing custom ROMs definitely requires some technical know how. You have to understand basic flashing process, which is essentially the same for every MTK model. If you read Infinix X551 specifications, you will know that this phone is a MTK device.

Requirements
Before you go ahead and start installing the ROM, make sure you meet these requirements.
  • Is your phone battery fully charged? If not, don’t start flashing new ROM until you have charged your phone to 80% at least.
  • Is your phone Hot Note Pro 2GB edition? If it’s another Infinix phone, don’t try this tutorial. It was tested only on 2GB edition.
  • Have you installed CWM Recovery on your phone? If not, you need to follow some tutorial and install it as we won’t be explaining how to install recovery in Infinix.
Installing custom ROM
When you want to install custom ROM Infinix Hot Note Pro, you better read some Infinix X551 review to see if you really want to change the stock ROM which is nearly perfect. If you have still have a reason to try this, follow the steps below.
  • Download Infinix X551 Factory Stock ROM here’ or ‘custom ROMs’ here. Download the ROM you want to install on your Hot Note Pro. Move ROM files to your SD card and switch off your phone.
  • Turn on the phone but go to Recovery. This should be fairly easy if you have already installed CWM.
  • Now scroll down and find option to wipe data and factory reset. Clean your phone using this option.
  • Now you need to install ROM Infinix X551 using Install Zip command from CWM (recovery). Once you have selected the option, you should be able to install the Zip file from SD card.
  • Installation will begin and it will take some time to complete since you are going to install a complete ROM. There are numerous files that need to be copied to your phone so it will take a few minutes. Be patient as doing anything stupid at this step will leave your phone bricked.
  • Once installation is complete, reboot the phone using Reboot System from recovery menu. When your phone reboots, it should load the new ROM that you just installed.

How to use Custom Recovery and Aroma file Mgr to free up Space on Android

How to use Custom Recovery and Aroma file Mgr to free up Space on Android
This tutorial will teach you how to use custom recovery and aroma file mgr to free up space on android devices.
Backing up a phone that is having problem is likely to give that same problem when you restore it because something must have caused the error, so you won't want to do that.most mobile phone engineer will factory reset the android phone, whether hard or soft, it will still wipe out most of your important apps, paid or free instead of just deleting some few apps with custom recovery like cwm and team win recovery project (twrp) and aroma file manager. Therefore, if you have rooted your android phone, be it HTC, Samsung Galaxy, Sony Xperia, Nexus etc, with custom recovery installed, then you have more chances of getting it fixed.
How-to-use-Custom-Recovery-and-Aroma-file-Mgr-to-free-up-Space-on-Android
It quite technical for those who don't have an idea on rooting and installing of custom recovery like cwm and twrp. However, I will advice you to take it to an engineer to get it fixed, do not play around with your hand-held device boot-loader if you have no idea because you might brick the phone.
Most engineer will end up factory reset the device without thinking of any other steps to get it fixed. No problem if they do that since many don't bother their self with rooting skills. If the phone is not rooted before it happened, then it is preferable to just factory reset, mostly high end device like HTC, Samsung Galaxy, Sony Xperia, Nexus and so on, which the boot-loader is flexible to flip with. It will be advisable to factory reset and then root it and flash custom recovery like cwm or twrp should in case any problem arises again int the nearest future.

This is one reason I usually recommend android users who want to explore their phone to the fullest to always root and flash custom recovery, but for those who just want to use their android phone or device for the normal stuff it has to offer like browsing, music, checking mails, watching video etc, then you don't need it.even if you do, it will be for easy means to fix your device should in case it has some difficult problem.
For those who don't know what aroma file manager is, let me just give a simple explanation. Aroma file manager is a recovery file manager which can only be installed through custom recovery like cwm or twrp by flashing it or you can use adb side-load via computer to side-load it. Aroma file manager is not that different from other apk file manager only that it is being flashed via custom recovery and only active at that particular time.after you carry out what ever you want to do with it and reboot the phone, it won't come up, this simply means you will have to flash it any time you intend to use it.

It is a very simple and powerful handy tool i will recommend for those who explore their phone because it has lots of features. I make use of it often time to crack android phone password or hand slide gesture key without factory reset the phone and no stress. Its one of my secret app and i value it a lot because of its features. It enables me to hack into the phone while in recovery mode and delete, modify, add, edit by exploring both the phone internal memory and SD card. Now you know what it is capable of doing?

Let us proceed and get this over with.

How to use Custom Recovery and Aroma file Mgr to free up Space on Android
*Enter into recovery mode. All phones have different means of entering recovery mode, I will use HTC as case study. Hold down volume button and press hold power button together for some seconds, it will enter boot-loader, use the volume down key to scroll down to and select recovery.depending on the recovery you installed, it will show up. Use the volume key to scroll down to install.

If you are using CWM, then scroll to load file-install file from SD and look for aroma file manager.
If you are using twrp, then scroll to install and find aroma file manager from SD, flash aroma file manager.
twrp is a touch based recovery, so you just have to use your hand to touch and install files.
Though most of the latest cwm are now have touch based.

Note that you will have to first download aroma file manager and put it inside the root on your SD card.
When i mean root of SD card, i mean inside the SD memory card without it being in any folder.just the in the SD card. Aroma file manager is a zip file, so just place it in the root of the SD card and use the recovery as mentioned in the steps above to flash it.download via Download Aroma file Manager. After flashing it, you will see a new tool which is the aroma file manager. Now you will have to make it to detect all the phone partitions like system, data etc, without this option, you won't have access to your internal memory and other area in the phone since they are hidden by default.

To do this, press the menu key.usually the key at the right down side on the app, an option will come up, select settings, then scroll down and tick " auto mount all devices on start" and click done button.then press the menu button and exit it. If you don't exit it, it won't detect all the file paths because you just installed it for the first time. You will have to flash it again, just follow the process again to flash it,this time it will detect all file paths. What we are looking for is the data file path.that is where most of the apps you install on your phone are piling up. So scroll and look for this path called data.enter it, then look for data again from the next path, click on it. There you will see the data of most of the apps you have installed.their folder will be in com.android.nameofapp or com.makeroftheapp.nameofthapp.

For instance, if you install an app from adobe called adobe pdf reader, the folder would be com.adobe.pdfreader or something different. That way you will know the name of each apps installed on the phone. Scroll to any of the apps, please take note of the system apps.only delete the apps you have installed from playstore or third party. don't delete those apps that came with the phone except you know what you are doing.

In situation like this, look for apps that you think may have large data installed in that path and delete it by pressing and holding on the folder, an option will come up, select delete and you are done.
After that, go back to the root where you entered the first data folder by pressing the back arrow button at the top right. Enter data folder again, this time you won't enter the second data folder.you will need to enter app folder.

Look for a folder called app and you will see the raw app .apk files installed, you will have to delete it. Further look for the app you deleted from data files. Look for that same app in the app folder and delete it. This way you have succeeded in deleting both data files and raw apk which will free up space, do same for large apps and before you know it, you will free large chunk of space on your android phone or tab manually.
